Verified Congressional Purchases Return 365-436 Percent Since Public Disclosures

Chad
·Saturday, September 12, 2026

Performance after public filing stands out in the latest congressional trading data. Several purchases in technology and communication services have posted exceptional returns once any retail investor could review the official disclosures and choose to follow them.

Importantly these returns are measured from the DISCLOSURE date forward and the public could have seen each of these positions when they were filed. Rep. Ro Khanna disclosed a purchase of STX on April 10 2025 that shows an outlier return of 882.61 percent we are still verifying. The California Democrat also filed a purchase of WDC disclosed January 6 2026 that carries an outlier return of 834.31 percent we continue to review. Rep. Gilbert Cisneros disclosed an SNDK buy on February 13 2026 posting an outlier return of 711.13 percent that we are still verifying.

The verified positions show equally striking results. Cisneros disclosed his purchase of SPHR on May 6 2025 and that position has returned 436.32 percent since filing. Rep. Lisa McClain disclosed buys of both DELL and CIEN on August 13 2025. DELL has returned 423 percent since disclosure while CIEN has returned 365.4 percent. All six trades were filed in amounts ranging from one thousand to fifty thousand dollars and span sectors that benefited from strong demand for storage networking and data-center infrastructure.

The pattern of outperformance after public release offers a transparent data point for investors monitoring Capitol Hill activity. With distinct members across party lines showing conviction in these names the filings highlight where policy-focused portfolios overlapped with powerful secular trends. Future filings in the same sectors will be worth watching to see whether similar post-disclosure momentum appears again.
