Press & Media

Disclosed Capitol is a real-time tracker for US Congress stock trades and government accountability data. We publish every trade disclosed under the STOCK Act, along with congressional committee portfolios, Annual Financial Disclosures, lobbying filings, federal contracts, campaign finance, and SEC insider filings — all sourced directly from primary government records.

We're free to cite for any journalistic or research purpose. The sections below have everything you need: live by-the-numbers stats, brand assets, citation format, and our press contact.

What we cover

  • Congressional stock trades — every buy or sell disclosed under the STOCK Act, with politician, ticker, transaction type, amount range, and disclosure timeline.
  • Politician profiles — per-member portfolios with CAGR, alpha vs S&P 500, win rate, max drawdown, sector allocation, and trade history.
  • Committee portfolios — backtested portfolios for each congressional committee, members aggregated by tenure.
  • Congressional wealth rankings — net-worth estimates derived from Annual Financial Disclosures.
  • Legislation, lobbying, federal contracts, FEC campaign finance, SEC 13D filings, and 13F institutional holdings.

Data sources

Every record on Disclosed Capitol traces back to a primary government source. We do not buy or license congressional disclosure data from third parties; we scrape and parse the original filings directly.

  • US House Financial Disclosures — disclosures-clerk.house.gov
  • US Senate Financial Disclosures — efdsearch.senate.gov
  • SEC EDGAR — Form 4, 13D, 13F filings
  • Congress.gov API — legislation, sponsorship, committee data
  • USASpending.gov — federal contract awards
  • Senate LDA — lobbying disclosures
  • FEC — campaign finance
